Hi i have idsl and a efficient 5871 router.How do i get it to work with knoppix?I tried using netcardconfig and punched in my dns numbers but it still didnt work.I have static ip's so pppoe wont work....Im not sure about which numbers r which-im used to windows xp home, not linux.what is the nameserver supposed to be?any help appreciated.

Open ipconfig I believe it is in winxp and check for your settings every thing you need should be there or go into the TCP/IP network protocol and check the bindings for it. The name server is your DNS setting in winxp.
