bash: get: command not found

Im trying to get updates for my sources.list and this is the problem I am getting -

bash: get: command not found

help the newb!

looks to me you tried apt get update instead of apt-get update

the command i was after is wget - not get.

you see the problem arose when i wanted to change my sources.list..
Instead of using "wget http://blah.blah.blah" i tried using "get"

I had it written down as just get LOL
