    How to update "locate" database?

    ^ Subject.

    When i call:
    Code:
    locate <program>
    it says that the database is more than 8 days old. Is there a way for me to force a cashe update?

    As root: updatedb

    But if you are looking for the location of a program which is on your path just use: which <program_name>.
