Problem with homedir etc.

I downloaded Knoppix 3.3 last week .. nice prog
but i wanted to store my configuration and homedir.. this worked .. the storing
but i cannot load the configuration with myconfig=scan home=scan or myconfig=/dev/hda1 etc.
and i doant know why.. it just sets a '.' right in the string i typet in and so
myconfig=scan
is
myconfig=sca.n
and doesnt work any more..

i chekced the CD, its 100% OK, so there is nothing wrong than the prog which sets this dot in my string.
Does anyone know a solution?

I also had difficulties with making a homedir and I later used the option of saving the config on a harddiskpartition (via Save Knoppix Configuration). If you have a fat-partition on harddisk you can save your config on it. To activate it next time you boot the cd type knoppix myconfig=/mnt/hdax (x=harddiskpartition no.) or myconfig=scan.
