I am using Knoppix from the CD, saving configs onto the hard drive.

The mouse movement/acceleration is unbearable. The settings in the control center/peripherals allow changing the acceleration, but it is not a smooth accel. Instead, its like pushing the mouse through mud, and finally it takes off. Can't recall the term for that setting. That, and it accelerates at a different rate north to south, than it does east to west.

I am working through the 'linux is different' stuff, but this mouse setting is a real drag.

Is there any other way to set up the mouse moves when booting from the CD?
