1. You only hear the (annoying) female voice when booting from CD. Try installing Knoppix and experience a world of difference

2. You can choose how Knoppix/KDE should behave when you install Knoppix to harddisk.

3. Under no circumstances should you remove the root account. This is very important since you use this account to install applications, configure the time, configure hardware, etc.
