x drive

after one successful load, i tried again today to show my friend how good it is but couldn't get past boot up. it stalled half way through saying that my x drive could not be detected or somethiong like that. any ideas how to restore it?

ok, tried again tonight and the actual message is error: no suitable x-server found for your card. any ideas???

Odd that it should load OK once and then fail. Are you sure you didn't use a cheat code the first time?

What graphics card do you have, btw?

i thought so too. i used fb800x600 and maybe lang=us but have tried using both and the fb800x600 on its own (that was a solution to an earlier problem)
as for graphics cards, yeah right! crappy on board intel 82810 graphics controller. well, that when windows is running...
