hi

after knoppix installation on harddisk, compiling the nvidia driver for the videocard and editing config file for X, the system freezes when starting X.

i see the nvidia logo, KDE starts and that's all. no keybord, no mouse, i have to switch off the system . so the nvidia driver seems to work (for a few seconds)

the monitor is a TFT. perhaps this causes the issues?
