Newbie question: How to change screen refresh rate...

Hi there,

anyone can tell me how to change screen refresh rate on a pretty standar on-the-HDD knoppix install?

Probably the easiest way would be to boot to your knoppix cd and experiment with boot options (cheat codes) until you get things correct, then save the new XF86Config-4 file (in /etc/X11) to floppy or your hd. I would rename your existing /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file just in case, and then copy the new one into /etc/X11.
