Knoppix loads runs but can't detect hard drive - Newbie help
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop - I'm able to load knoppix - fully - but it doesn;t recognize my hard disk.
I can run partition commander and see the drive - including using its browser to see each of the NTFS folders, filenames , dates and sizes. All looks ok there.
I'm a total newbie to Linux/knoppix - it was amazing to see it autoload to the point I'm on the internet now on my laptop from knoppix - but minus my hard drive.
from the command fdisk -l I do not see anything that says NTFS.
A couple of times when I've been exiting knoppix, the (alomost) last message says - hda : lost interupt.
Any suggestions?? please be as specific as possible as I'm not familiar with the commands.
As requested, here is the info from the lspci -v command:
thanks!! Randy

Did you try fdisk -l /dev/hda
Also since Knoppix automatically creates mount points for any partitions it sees you could do
ls -l /mnt
