Newbie here

As subject line says, I`m trying to create a "Persistent Home Directory on my sda1 USB 128 MB flash drive so far without any success.

I get an rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (codeR) at 10.c(699) ...whatever this means?

The error message also includes: failed to write 4 bytes
and :"unknown" broken pipe.

Anyone here care to share any insight with this newbie on what may be my problem?
