Should I re-download it from elsewhere? I got this one from tracker.tx.se. Could tx comment on this? Can anybody else recommend a different bt?

kakakoka - what is in the file

KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-EN_badmd5sum/KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-EN.iso.md5 ?

What is in it should match the md5sum of
KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-EN_badmd5sum/KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-EN.iso

If not, then it's a bad download.

49a62cdac7a3afcee0d2d47ea17daa6f *KNOPPIX_V3.4-2004-05-04-EN.iso

so I guess I got a bad download.

Can anyone suggest a bt location which will work better?

I tried it an hour ago but it seemed dead (no download for 15 minutes or so).

i d/led the iso file with all server posted here, and i get the right md5sum.

Second time lucky on the first mirror posted gave me the 49a md5sum (which is the one in the .md5). I guess the load the servers are under caused the corruption.

There are at least two versions of 3.4. The two signatures that I've seen appear to have been released by Klaus. However, I have no idea why both are identically labeled: "V3.4-2004-05-04".

One has the signature 49a62cdac7a3afcee0d2d47ea17daa6f. This version was signed:

Another version has the signature 8e9cd4d310ad8381d1ec3326c6caae2b. This version was signed:

So, it appears that the later one is probably the one that people want.

If you have a problem, but are able to use the BT do it, since part of BT uses MD5sums, so you really don't need to check it. Still do though, it only takes a few minutes at most, and it verifies that the file is accurate.

P.s. if you DL it from a location not listed by knoppix, you should DL the md5sum from a verified server, or ask for it on the forums, that way you aren't DL something that is malware. I do this whenevery I am unsure about the source, and I want to save the main site some bandwith...

P.s. anyone else having problems with 2.6 and an Nforce2 chipset?
