GUI problems
Desktop background splash starts but then fails with 'X-Window session terminated with errors' message
Possible solutions: check that the permissions on /dev/null are set so everyone can write to it.
KMix application keeps popping up
This can sometimes happen when various KDE packages get updated in a Knoppix remaster. Setting KDE_SERVICES_ENABLED to false in the /etc/default/kde-services-knoppix file may resolve the issue.
