Any good performance test applications that have nice GUI and have consistent benchmark results!

It would be great to use KNoppix for quick comparison in performance of 2D, 3D, HD and CPU performance when buying computers... I am interested in Buying Laptop and wanna test few models before actually paying teh money!

Could some of these aps be integrated in next Knoppix release?
