Knoppix3.3 based DVD- any requests or suggestions?

Well, about the server stuff, Knoppix includes Apacha + PHP and MySQL. You only have to start them. Launch one console and type:

sudo /etc/init.d/apache start
sudo /etc/init.d/mysql start (knoppix 3.4 doesn't include mysql but older versions yes)

And you will have a web server fully operational

I'm n00b enough that this is still news to me!

In the streaming arena you should try http://dynebolic.org/. This is one live cd focused on Audio, Video and streaming

One thing is getting clearer to me now, the more you use knoppix, the more it grows on you, and how similar it is to debian, gets to feel less important to you somehow. Rare, but nice

What about adding the Gnat compiler and the GPS (ADA and C++) Ide ?
It's very easy to use, powerfull and does not eat too much disk place !!

The single thing I wish for most is the latest stable version of PostgreSQL, with potentially a bunch of contrib/ stuff compiled in and added to template1, but especially with tsearch2 (the full-text index stuff).

It would also be nice to have pgadmin3.

Also both apache1/mod_perl/etc and apache2/mod_perl/etc. And of course all of CPAN
