    Couple questions

Hi guys! I'm a complete newb. I've done some searching but can't seem to get the answer to these questions:

    1. If I install will I be able to have user root?

    2. If I install can I forego bootloader for bootdisk (floppy)?

    3. If I install will I be able to access my ntfs partitions?

    1. yes, choose a Debian install(default)when doing a knoppix-installer.
2.Lilo boot loader is installed by default but you also get to make a boot floppy by default also.
3.Yes, you should have access to read ntfs not write to it. You can create a fat 32 drive that is read/write accessable to linux and windows.

Thanks johnb. I don't need to write to the drive, I just need to access a partition that has a few things I can use on Windows and Linux (mp3s, vids, bookmarks, etc).

    Hi
Well you could just leave them on your windows drive. Linux can mount the drive and you will have access to them.
