Hi It's been a short while I have installed knoppix 3.6 to my hard drive as a debian system but I haven't been able to toggle between two keyboard layouts e.g. us,ar
There seems to be multiple conf files for xfree86 on the system. /etc/X11/XF86Conifg OR XF86Config-4 and some others under /etc/sysconfig/2.4.27/... . I have tried all of them with the following entries
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "keyboard"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "us,ar"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle"
EndSection
But even after restarting X server it doesn't work. ( I haven't enabled the keyboard layouts in Kcontrol since this solution must apply to all windows managers/DE)
Thanks for the help.
