2 changes to 6.2 on USB

How do I make these two changes to 6.2 on a USB stick so that it boots faster:

1. Always boot to runlevel 1 with no boot prompt.

2. Do not show the prompt for how much disk space to reserve for persistent data.

I did add "runlevel=1" to the knoppix boot option, but it still booted to runlevel 2.
