I have a huge problem. I have a Proliant 5000 which needs a mem statement to start - or, else, it hangs. I did a knoppix-installer installation and seemed to go o.k. - although on the shell screen I saw some errors. I did a knoppix installation. I made a boot floppy and was expecting hardware autodetection - because that works fine on my computer. Well I got into a full Debian system (no autodetection)

Can somebody, please, tell me how to start autodetection on the boot floppy? I am new in all this and I am afraid I did something wrong.
