Just FYI to Knoppix moderator (this is probably not a good feedback method but what the heck)
With SMC card in slot 0 the Compact Flash Card in slot 1 is not detected at startup.
With SMC card in Slot 1 and CF card in Slot 0 CF card is detected properly as IDE HD and SMC card is properly identified although it will not start.

More Knoppix fun....
Config of Network and Wifi sets up card but still no joy...
Real easy system to interpret for a new guy..going blind reading all the posts to find anyone with similar hw problems.. Good exercise in mouse movement.
