Ndiswrapper and Knoppix 3.6: configuration not saved

I was really surprised when Knoppix 3.6 live-CD worked with my Linksys WMP11 (Broadcom chipset) almost out-of-the box with ndiswrapper!

But how to automate network configuration? I have used

Code:

saveconfig

and everything gets saved but WLAN (partially). Module is loaded but I must type every time after boot in console

iwconfig wlan0 essid my_network

and

Code:

netcardconfig

and choose DHCP. Now everything works but how to get this done automatically in boot time? Why is network configuration not saved when using saveconfig?

Still wondering. I was surprised because one time my card was detected automatically with ndiswrapper. But it was only once.

Could this be because of too fast init process? The card takes some time to connect to the net. Can I change configuration in live-CD by adding some seconds wait state before essid name is given?
