Knoppix is really nice, but don't you think it can look better? How about a better libfreetype? just check it out here. The smoothed fonts look way better than with an unpatched libfreetype and MUCH better than on windows or mac! Best of all, it's just a copy+paste hack, you don't need to compile it (the included binary is optimized for i586). It also comes with instructions to enable the new ultra-smooth fonts in OpenOffice.org.

I already customized my knoppix with it (V3.1), and it would really be cool to have it as default.
