Compaq Armada mouse trouble

New to Knoppix 3.6 and having trouble on my laptop. Has anyone else had any experience of getting either the touchpad or a usb mouse to work on a Compaq Armada? Would greatly appreciate any assistance, especially as it looks so good once booted...

well, starting with knoppix nowheel helped me out on my compaq armada m300

it would help to know which model armada you have.. not all of them are created equal -- for example I've got the Armada 100s -- which is not the greatest of armadas- gimme an M700 instead
