Well,
I've done it last

year, but it was too late to post.
Now I am happy owner of brand new CD v3.7. And the NIC problem has been resolved with new version. The card is recognized by Knoppix.
Thank you, eco2geek, for K3b tip: Tools->CD. That helps.
Thank you, chris-harry, for Wine idea. Now I have some plans, where Wine could be useful.

But a part of initial problem still exists:
Even a new version does not recognize my two SATA HDs. But it is not about CDs, so I am openning a new topic.
