What is the directory path to a usb device? I couldn't find it in /mnt
I am using a livecd Knoppix 3.3 and the Control Center does show my camera and identifies it by brand name. I couldn't find it though. Do I have to mount it? If so what is the command? I couldn't find any info at the Knoppix website.
Right click on the desktop and Create New/Device/Camera Device.

Thanks, I'll try that.
That must be in a later version of Knoppix. I don't get that option in the menu with ver 3.3
I tried Googling on Debian mount usb and found that there is a gui tool that does work.
I used gtkam and it auto-detected my camera. What a hoot! My PC is a 10 year old Win95 machine with a usb port that didn't even work in Win95. Now it works running Knoppix from a livecd. I'm almost convinced to switch from Mandrake.
