I have Fedora Core 3 installed on a harddisk that collapsed, so I cannot boot anymore. Running Knoppix 3.7 from a CD I try to resque some important files from the home-directory. The home-directory is a part of a logical volume group and what it seems Knoppix cannot access logical volumes.

Is this true?

If it is could you confirm that because then I try to find other solutions to save the files without using Knoppix.
