A friend of mine wants to put Knoppix 3.7 on his external hard drive. He made an Ext2 partition of 4 gb and a swap partition of one gb with cfdisk. When he starts the installation process he is asked to choose a drive and he chooses the ext2 partition. Then the installer wants to format it (though it is formatted in ext2 and empty) and crashes.
Is there any Possibility to make the installer skip the formatting and to continue with the installation process?
