how to start vnc server so i can connect from windows vnc?

hi all

i'm still quite a newbie in linux and i'd like to start a vncserver from my knoppix 3.8 hd installation so i can connect to it from windows xp. how can i do that? thank you and sorry for this stupid question, but i just don't get it...

Knoppix (start button) - System - Desktop Sharing

it sets up pretty much the same as winVNC
