I just can't handle this sound problem. I have read so many posts and nothing
It's like i have sound but actually i have not. There is sound only when i open file with XMMS(or other program) but i can't use any of the mixer options even in the XMMS. The only thing i can do is to turn on and off the sound, i can't regulate it. When i tried the ALLMIGHTY "alsaconf" and reboot ( i set the XMMS to use ALSA plugin) there is playing but there is no sound. Now i leave it to OSS support and i can play only files without possibility to regulate the sound Cause i saw many posts with the same problem please can u tell me how to solve it cause i didn't read anywhere solution of the problem else "ALSACONF". If there is some way to turn tha ALSA on with will be great.
SO would u help me ?? the sound card is integrated on board intel 810 and knoppix do detected it on the load screen... maybe there is some kind of konflict between autoloaded drivers and alsa modules or something... i just don't know. If someone wanna help with will be very nice...
