NETCARD PROBLEM

Hi

My Linux PC has a Adaptec 6922A/TX NWK Dual PCI. (Dual-NIC; 2x DEC 21143)

On Knoppix 3.7 everything worked fine.

But all newer Version (3.8 ; 3.9 ; 4.0 ) recognize my NIC, but i don't get a IP from the DHCP

Ubuntu 5.04 and Xandros 3.01 are workong properly.

Amy hints for me ? Or is this a bug ?

Try acpi=off as cheat code or in menu.lst (for hdd installed).

What i'm wondering about is, the latest release of KANOTIX (based on KNOPPIX) is working fine !!!

Kanotix is very good distribution. Not too much "de luxe" GUI, but it is fine tuned and work good. This is the first distribution wich use my ADSL conection totaly automatic, from begining to end. Not too many people know that Kanotix has many useful scripts for different task, suport for some exotic USB ADSL modems and so on.
