LCD screen turns blanks when booted with Knoppix 3.4

Hi all,
I am using Knoppix 3.4 to boot my Pentium IV(2.4 GHz) desktop PC with LCD screen, it boot licely in text mode (knoppix 2). But when boot with normal(in grphic mode) screen turn blanks, I can hear the start sound, but noting on screen, just blank. Screen showing not signals, sometimes "OUT of RANGE" message. I even tried with less resolution 800x600 (Knoppix screen 800x600) but same problem.

Please advice me....

First of all, I would try a newer version of Knoppix. 3.4 is pretty old and there may have been a few improvements in it since then, especially with hardware detection. I would also be sure that you have enough Ram to boot into a Grapic Environment. 128 Meg is probably not enough. Also a noddc cheatcode may help if it is a monitor issue. You might try a cheatcode such as desktop=icewm or some other similar option.
