cant boot knoppix live cd nemore, and cant login.

hi all, tryin 2 get knoppix installed on an oldish system, amd 450mhz 128 ram etc, Install went well, i chose to make it a debian system(i dont understand what the other options mean,, cud sum1 explain thx). evrytime i log in, it changes the screen resolution for a bit then brings up the login screen again.

i attempted to reinstall it but everytime i boot the live cd it resets the pc at the very start while its loading the kernel;S.

ne1 got a solution to this. this also happened when i tried to boot the ubuntu live cd on it. although before the 1st install it booted perfectly about 3 times with the live cd.

i can get into kde by logging in via console as root and typing startx. cud sum1 actualy reply thankz. and i managed to get the cd booting again, it had problems with the bios usb keyboard support.
