i wonder, what kind of package management is there in knoppix and is it a possibility to include iso master with the distro? is there a place i can read about the policies for new packages?

it's pretty small, 150k and even smaller if you run strip on the binary.

version 0.6 is out and i feel it's stable and well tested so it's safe to be included in a distribution.

Dear mig21,
the package management of knoppix because it is Debian based is APT using *.deb packages.
I am sorry to say that I have almost zero experience in order to build Debian packages from source, BUT I am sure that the process it is not difficult. You need only a good help hand from any Debian developer or so...

i actually already have a .deb iso master mainainer, and we're trying to get it into debian and ubuntu.

so i guess the only part of my question that remains is: what can i do to get iso master into knoppix i do think that it's worth it, and since it's so small it won't really affect users who don't need it.

is there a person or a group i should get in touch with?
