povray-3.6 (the official release because I had in the recent past problems in running on Debian i386 etch povray Debian packages) works beautifully on knoppix 5.0.1 pivot_root install. That in spite of warning against use as superuser (again: is that possible to use pivot-Install as user?)

With 1GB ram, povray runs equally rapidly than with true debian i386 etch on the same machine.
