Asus A7DB - Monitor Problem

Hey everyone,
I'm new to Knoppix, so bare with me, thanks

I have a Asus A7DB laptop, with a CRT outlet.
Now when i insert the DVD (Knoppix 5.0.1) everything before init 5 i can see in my screen(laptop's screen),
but when init 5 is initialized my screen goes black.

Now out of curiosity i tried connecting my Desktop's monitor to the laptop.
N Knoppix is loaded.

just that my laptop's monitor just doesn't show it.

Now i want to ask where should i be looking for 2 try 2 solve this?
do u guys think it may have something to do in...
/etc/X11/XF86Config file?

I found some solutions from Ubuntu Support and i believe one of them can fix my problem.

now i've got another question how can i make changes to the xorg.conf file
and make a new Knoppix CD with the changes?

or what other choices do i have?
