C++ Console Apps?

Hi, when I make a console application with C++ Wine doesn't open it... It wont show up.

Is there anyway I can use console applications??

If your unsucessful with dev-C++ then if you want you can use Eclipse CDT on the DVD or download it if you have the CD version with the C++ plugin for both.
On the konsole just type gcc -version for the current verson
and use g++ for the compiler
Utilities are vi, gvim, kwrite, kate and emacs.
