boot problem with X windows on acer aspire 9502 WSMi

I am trying to boot my laptop using KNOPPIX_V5.1.1DVD-2007-01-04-EN, all works fine till the X windows loading, then the screen gets black and I need to reboot in windows.
Could anyone help me please?

Try some boot parameters such as " knoppix vga=normal " or define a lower resolution than the computer tries to apply with " knoppix screen=1024x768 " for example.

All the above should be typed at the boot screen.
