acer aspire wireless

i cant get knoppix to find the ath0 wireless card on the aspire. what can i do to get it working? do i have tio install a windows driver? help me if u can, please.

If your wifi is Broadcom or Atheros, there's a good chance Knoppix already has a driver for you. We need some info to help.
1. Do lspci at a command line and see if you can find what brand and what model number of wifi you have.
2. Have you used your Acer on the internet with Windows, and did it work ok?

I have an Acer Aspi9re 7741Z-4643 laptop with Windows 7 installed. I test with Knoppix 6.7.1 from a USB boot drive and now with 7.0.2 from a USB drive and from the DVD. I am able to connect to my wireless Linksys router and I'd be happy to try to duplicate your situation or help test - me on my PC and network and you on yours
