In syslinux.cfg I added the bolded lines:

LABEL auto
SERIAL 0
CONSOLE 0
SAY Booting via ttyS0
TIMEOUT 100
KERNEL linux
APPEND lang=en apm=power-off initrd=minirt.gz nomce hpsa.hpsa_allow_any=1 loglevel=1


In the RS232 terminal, 3 lines are printed but rest of messages are all displayed on the VGA display.

What am I doing wrong ?
There are no cheat codes for this purpose.
