Supermicro SuperServer SYS-E200-8D. Complete and ready to boot - RAM and SSD both installed.
History and condition: this ran light production duty in my home lab. It wasn't a bench-test box or a flip - it was powered on and doing real work, it handled it without a single fault, and it's for sale because I consolidated my lab. The server itself is known working with no faults. Photos show physical condition. Please read the SSD note below before buying - the included drive has healthy NAND but a high SATA link error count due to a prior bad cable and weather-related power outages. NAND shows 92% healthy, 1.26 WAF which is great, and no defect Supermicro X10SDV-6C-TLN4F
On the M.2 slot - I've deliberately left it empty. This board's M.2 slot is M-key and documented as PCIe 3.0 x4, but it also muxes to the I-SATA0 port, so it takes either an NVMe drive or an M.2 SATA drive. The manual buries this, which is why it's the most-asked question on the X10SDV boards. I've run 1TB M.2 SATA SSDs in these exact servers myself, so I can confirm SATA mode works (and can be used alongside the included SATA drive).
The server boots today off the 1TB Samsung 850 EVO, which leaves the M.2 slot completely free for whatever you want to put in it - an NVMe boot drive, a fast VM datastore, or nothing at all. Great expansion path to add whatever you need.
Tested and confirmed before listing: POSTs cleanly - all 64GB detected - IPMI accessible over the dedicated LAN - all four network ports link.
About the SSD - please read before buying. The included 1TB Samsung 850 EVO reports 92% life remaining after 124TB written, with zero reallocated sectors, zero program or erase failures, zero runtime bad blocks and zero uncorrectable errors. The NAND is genuinely healthy. It also reports a UDMA CRC error count of 92,376 across 74,039 power-on hours. CRC errors are SATA link errors - cable, connector or backplane - not NAND damage, and every media-health counter on this drive is clean. This drive housed live surveillance footage and there was a prior bad SATA cable and some unfortunate weather-related power outages which explain the CRC link errors and power-loss events.
Before shipping: the SSD will be secure-erased, the BIOS reset to defaults and the IPMI credentials reset to factory.
What's included: the server, with the 64GB RAM and the 1TB SSD, and power cables. No OS.
Excellent choice for a Proxmox, ESXi, TrueNAS, pfSense/OPNsense or Kubernetes lab node - 10GbE and IPMI in a genuinely low-power 1U footprint. Drop in an OS and it's running the same day.
US shipping only.
