no one has a clue??
or no one cares?
Somewhat new to this...
but I got the FTP server within Knoppix to run, and can reach from all machines from within my LAN.
However, I want to be able to access the FTP server from Internet through my router/firewall.
On my Windows machine, my FTP server allows me to passively listen to my WAN IP for FTP connections. Can someone tell me how to set up the FTP server within Knoppix to do the same??? TIA

yo,yo chill down...
I'll bet meanwhile you've found the solution ,but anyway here it comes.
Starting an FTP server will always make it listen to ALL inbound ftp traffic (read TCP) to port 21. (or some other port you've configured in your ftp server).
It's up to your WAN router to divert all inbound WAN traffic to port 21.
So configuration on your WAN router is needed.
