Video problem at the start-up

Hi.
When I try to run the boot-up process of the distribution I lost the video screen as there isn't a signal.
My video card is a S3 Sagave4 16 MB of memory.
Is this the problem?

Some of you have encountered the same problem?

try specifiying different resolutions via the cheatcodes.

If during the boot up after the initial knoppix "splash screen" your monitor goes completely dark, try vga=normal as a boot option, ie:

knoppix vga=normal

Unfortunately this cheat-code is not on the <f2> help screen but it is in the cheat-code text file on the CD.
