knoppix std is my first time even looking at linux, I was wondering how do I map my harddrive that has windows onto my knoppix which is running of a CD.

me sorry what do u mean with "map my h-drive"? might be my bad english... if you just want acces, use the icon on the desktop. if you want to be able to write to it, right-click the icon and choose "switch readonly" or something like that (you'll see).
