Does Knoppix support Flat Panel Monitors - like compaq FP15

I am not able to get knoppix to work with flat panel monitors. Is there a boot option that I can use to get knoppix to recognise flat panel monitors ?

FWIW, it works fine with my HP 15" FP, which I'll bet has identical guts to the Compaq. Perhaps you could provide more information about your monitor and why you believe that it's the source of your problems.

Thanks for the response. I get to the basic knoppix boot prompt when booting from the CD. When I issue the "knoppix lang=us" command , I can see knoppix booting but loses the display, possibly because the resolutions may not be matching. I tried the screen = 1064 X768, which is what I use with windows, but the screen is still blank. May be I need to issue a different command ?. By the way I have the ATI All in Wonder Radeon card.

I have installed knoppix on my IBM 600E laptop and that works fine.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Be careful with your syntax and screen dimensions
As far as I know, you want to boot knoppix with the command

boot: knoppix screen=1024x768

(not 1064!) I've used knoppix with flat panels and ATI AIW's without problem, so i think this is just a problem of booting into a safe resolution for your monitor.
