very very very new and have a really dumb problem

ok. first off I know nothing about linux. Ive always hated microsoft and wanted to use knoppix because I could burn it on a cd and run it off it. It all works fine but its all in german and I dont know how to change it so help would be appreciated. I realize this is a very simple problem but once I get get this out of my way I hope to start learning as much as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The problem is you downloaded the one that ends in DE when you wanted the one with EN. But now that you have the German version you can get it to use English with the boot command knoppix en. And in KDE go to Kontrollzentrum then Regional and then Sprache.

Wouldn't typing 'Knoppix lang=us' on the lilo boot prompt solve this problem?

Just a hint from Germany: On the german keyboard the "=" is above the "0" (Number zero).

    Ciao Martin
