Ok I did the usual of setting up for a wireless card:
1.root command wlcardconfig
2. I entered my ssid
3. when I get to my wep key I don't put in the text password I made. Instead I took the whole string of numbers/letters that it generated and typed that into the space for my wep key.
4. Root command pump -i eth0
5. I am online
