Tip for newbies

Well i just found this out.
When I log on as root i don't see the partitions on the desktop.
Then i figured out by right clicking, selecting new, then selecting hard disc, that i can place an icon refering to a certain partition on the screen, you can even give it a name, instead of hdb1->Linux for example or hdb5-> "Programs".
You can also do this with your cd players etc.

Hope this is of help for some of you guys (I'm a noob myself)

I also found out that you can just rename then by right clicking then going to rename
