I found it the hard way, since it isnt in any HOWTO around ...

If you are interested in running it as root everything
(conditions: just for CD boot, not HD install)

you just have to edit /etc/init.d/xsession,
modifying USER=knoppix; change it to USER=root

simple - once you've found it out!
