Hmm, you seem to have the fastest burner on earth
How did you burn it? Copy-paste from: http://www.photodex.com/support/faqs/pro_cdr_iso.html
# Start the 'Record CD from CD Image' feature.
From Easy CD Creator's File menu, select Record CD from CD Image.
# Open the picture CD ISO image.
In the file open dialog which appears, select the ISO file you created with our software. Click Open.
Note: You may need to select 'ISO Image Files (*.iso)' in the file type combo-box to see the ISO files on your computer.
# Write the CD.
Easy CD Creator's 'Record CD Setup' dialog will appear. Click Start Recording.
You should also probably check the md5sum of the iso and get a couple of CD-RW:s.

Even if you did burn a data disk rather then an image file it still shouldn't take 15 secs.
Yes a CD-RW is great for these types of things. You screw one up, just erace it.
Also do a MD5SUM on the iso to see if the image is defected.

I went through ALL those steps using Roxio CD creator 5 basic..i don't know whats wrong. Could the file have some sort of virus or something?

Do a MD5SUM on the file, if anything is differnt then what it should be then its tag will be differnt from what it should be (type MD5SUM in google to get the program) the MD5 tag should be on the download page.

All good advice. For more instructions, free burner software, etc. go here (for example):
