RARE 1984 Apple Macintosh 128K ROM Set Low + High with 1983 production dates! These are very early Mac ROM chips made in 1983, most found will have 1984 dates. Fully TESTED and Working! These are the ROMs that came in very early 1984 Macintosh 128K models since the ROMs were made in 1983 leading up to the launch of the first Mac in January 1984! The 3-digit date code (3L1) starts with a "3" on one chip indicating 1983 manufacture date, and the 4-digit code (8343) on the other chip indicates week 43 of 1983 manufacture date.
This set was removed from a very early serial # 1984 Macintosh, so these chips had been manufactured in 1983 leading up to the original Mac launch in January 1984. Most original Macs from 1984 will have ROMs that were made in 1984 as well, except for the earliest batch of Macs from early 1984 are the only ones that had 1983 ROMs. Replace a missing or non-working set of Macintosh ROMs with this working original set. Very rare early set from 1983, since most original Macs will have a ROM set dated 1984.
